I treat everyone who walks into my studio as a professional artist, whether they are coming through town on tour or a 4 year old just learning to read music. I believe that students are a reflection of their teachers and mentors, so I strive to be as driven, professional, and encouraging as I can to set a positive example for my students and help them reach their personal and professional goals as a performing artist.

STUDIO

Due to the COVID19 Pandemic David has begun to offer lessons in an on-line format (primarily via Zoom). Limited in-person appointments are available in Seattle, WA. Masking is encouraged, in accordance with local guidelines and protocols. David teaches piano and voice with a strong emphasis on performance. His piano method builds a strong foundation in music theory and piano technique, so that the focus can then be turned to artistry and performance. As a voice coach David’s main goals are to help every student understand their vocal anatomy, resonance, vowel shape, clear pronunciation, and song interpretation. He specializes in jazz, pop, rock, and musical theatre style singing.
